Domestic appliance industry supplier Pacifica Group's subsidiary Corporate Support Solutions (CSS) provides insurance backed warranties for appliances sold by partner retailers.
CSS wanted an online ecommerce facility enabling customers to quickly and simply purchase and renew warranties for appliances they had bought from partner retailers including the Co-operative Group and Electrical123.com.
Prospective customers were to be alerted to the online warranty facility by direct mailers via email or post.
Initial research was aided by a long-term ongoing relationship with CSS, which brought an in-depth understanding of the company and its target markets.
Our aim was to develop a bespoke system which minimised the need for CSS staff resources while simplifying the warranty purchase process for new clients, creating a new online business stream.
The ecommerce website we have developed incorporates a Content Management System which uploads new target client data and exports it to personalised html emails or postal direct mail marketing CSS warranty services.
Customers receive personalised invitations via post or email to visit the CSS website, where they are shown the warranty options available for their purchase. They can pay immediately online and download a personalised warranty certificate, completing the whole process in just a few minutes, or pay by cheque or direct debit.
The system is working very smoothly, generating new business, and plans are in place to extend the system to other brands.
